I would like to start today's post by apologizing for the lack of updates here. No excuses this time. I'll dive right into this post now.

I've just been busy going in and out of jobs, sorting out the mess that I had made earlier and just procrastinating really. I have a lot of things on my plate but nevertheless, I am still enjoying every bit of my busy schedule. You learn from your experiences every single day, don't you?! So in whatever spare time I have left, I either indulge in a little bit of cooking, travelling or reading. Earlier this week, I decided to go to my local library and pick up "Big Magic" by Elizabeth Gilbert - author of the famous book "Eat, Pray, Love".

Before buying this book, I had no idea what this book was about. I had seen the movie "Eat, Pray, Love" but had never read her book so I didn't know what to expect. The book explains the power of creativity and how your persistence and hard work for your passion forms an integral part of the journey. The journey to follow your dreams of achieving what you really came to do in life. Elizabeth thinks every person is creative and capable of turning ideas into something magical and mystifying. She explains wonderfully how rejection, doubts, time constraints can become an obstacle but it is how you can overcome that obstacle to reach your goals and succeed in life. She gives personal examples of rejection and how it DID NOT demotivate her. Instead, she became stronger and stood through the testing times to become one of the most successful writers with two renowned books that gave her fame.

My love for motivational and inspirational books undoubtedly comes from my mum. She has the same taste as me and so I know she would love this book. I am definitely going to recommend this one to her. Instances from her own life combined with her simple and straight forward writing style make this one a good read. If you need some motivation in your life rn, go buy this one, NOW!
