As you grow older, you realize so many things about yourself. You don't just grow physically but also as a person. The surroundings that you are in and the people that you hang out with make you who you are. For someone like me who has a full time job and maintains a blog, it is important that I find ways to de-stress myself to find the right work-life balance. If you ask me personally, running this blog is my way of de-stressing! I enjoy writing and all things related to beauty and fashion which is why I decided to let you guys delve into my own little space on the internet. Another thing that helps me maintain my sanity is staying positive.

It took me years (25 to be specific) to understand the significance of staying positive. I have always been a very negative person (not a good quality I know) and that has not helped me in any way. So why do you still continue to do something that doesn't benefit you? Call that a bad habit, it affects your body and mind in the most dangerous ways without you even realizing the harm it's doing. How did I change my outlook on life in general? I say to myself, if I were to always think about the consequences and negatives, would it actually do any good to me? Is it a solution to all my problems the answer to this is NO! On the downside, this would only result in me being a cranky, stressed girl with a zillion breakouts on my skin. Is that who I want to be - absolutely NOT! What happens when you are positive? When positive thoughts enter my mind, I feel good about my overall self. I feel like I am more determined that "X" is my goal and I will do whatever it takes to reach it. My motivation towards gaining something reaches an all time high and no matter how tough it may seem, I make sure I don't let any negative thoughts enter my mind. It may seem a little hard in the beginning especially if you are someone like me (filled with negative thoughts) LOL but everything is possible. Think of it as an assignment for your brain and keep correcting it by saying something positive. Slowly, you will realize how your thoughts transform and how these thoughts will transform you into a better person.

Now, this concept of staying positive can be applied anywhere. You want your dream job, dream car, dream life partner or something as simple as a dress that you saw at a boutique. Of course, just staying positive and not working hard towards your goals is not going to take you anywhere. The perseverance and grind is part of the process. No one has had it easy and even if you see the other person's struggle as being relatively easy, I'm sure they have a zillion things that they are going through and choose not to show. Confidence, motivation, determination and perseverance are all different aspects of staying positive. Try being an optimist person and see the magic unwind.

How do you stay positive?

Let me know!

After doing several posts on fashion and makeup I thought I would rant a bit about the food that I eat on a daily basis. When you have a full time job, cooking can seem like a daunting task. However, when I get home, I go straight to the kitchen, open my pantry, see what snacks I have and make something to feed my hungry stomach. Not going to lie, most of the times, I just reach out for a packed vegan snack but if I am in the mood to cook something, I go all out and prepare something from scratch like this Vegan Pizza!

My favorite junk food that I absolutely love is Pizza and even if you think Veganism is restricted and you have to sacrifice so many things, think again my friend! This Vegan Pizza is crazy delish and you can make it in a jiffy with just about any veggies that you have in your fridge.

What you'll need for this recipe:

Whole Wheat tortillas
Tomato Salsa Sauce
Veggies (I used Spinach, corn, tomatoes, onions)
Maggi Masala (you can use cayenne pepper if you don't have this but you can get the Maggi Masala at any indian store)
Vegan cheese

To make a pizza, just place you tortilla on a plate. Add the Tomato Salsa Sauce as your base sauce then add all your veggies on top. Sprinkle some salt and Maggi Masala on top - you can also add organo and chilli flakes depending on what seasonings you like on your pizza! Add some vegan cheese and put it in the pre-heated oven for about 10 minutes or until the crust is crunchy and the cheese on top has melted.

Whenever I get home early, I make this Vegan Pizza because not only is this delicious but it's also super healthy and a breeze to make. Let me know if you love Pizza and the toppings you like on yours!

Repeatedly mentioning that I am obsessed with this, obsessed with that is going to sound mundane but I have been a lipstick addict for as long as I can remember! My attempt of resisting myself from making a purchase fails every time I see a new launch in the market. Fun fact: I will always have about three to four different lipstick/lip products in my bag - and that excludes my lip balm of course! Most of the times, in my makeup looks I try to focus on the lips and tie my whole look together according to that. Here are the top 5 lipsticks that I own and are my all time favorites:

1) YSL Rouge Volupte #28 Beauborb Brown - I love the entire collection of the YSL Rouge Volupte lipsticks. The creamy, butter-like texture feels so smooth on your lips - it's unreal. #28 - Beauborb Brown is my go-to nude/natural color that I wear when I am in the mood for a smokey-eye kinda look. You don't even need to put on a lip balm before applying this, it's glides so smoothly and feels super hydrating. Yes, it is on the pricey side but they are worth every penny, definitely recommend this to everyone.

2) Rimmel Kate Moss 01 - Who doesn't own a classic red?! Red is a statement lip color and you can never go wrong with it. It instantly lifts any look and can make you look oh so glamorous. Rimmel's line of Kate Moss lipsticks are the bomb and my favorite is shade #1 which is the perfect red. Overall, they have a great formula and it lasts a good amount of time so you don't have to worry about re-applying it.

3) Inglot #60 - I picked this up at a beauty shop in Curacao when I had gone to visit my parents. It's a wonderful bright pink shade that has almost a gel-like consistency. The consistency is quite sheer but you can build it depending on how bright you want the color to appear. When you apply this first it looks super glossy but it has a semi-matte finish to it. Just like the YSL, you don't need no lip balm because this not drying and keeps your lips moisturized.

4) Colourpop Ultra Matte Lips in Beeper - The fact that Kylie Jenner's lips has taken over the world comes as no surprise. Every girl want's those lips or at least imitate the lip shade that she wears on a daily basis. So if you're on the lookout for something similar, Colourpop has some ultra matte liquid lipsticks in almost every color you would want. For someone like me who has dry lips, I feel like I have to prep them before applying. I will apply a light lip balm and then apply this on my lips. Beeper is the perfect nude/brown shade that is the current rage among girls who want the perfect pout.

5) MAC Vegas Volt - With summer around the corner, you would want to rock a bright coral shade with your favorite summer dress. Mac lipsticks have always been my favorite. I love the smell, the consistency and the longevity of them. The Vegas Volt is the perfect orange, summer shade that can make any regular look go from ordinary to extraordinary.

Let me know in the comments what your all-year round favorites are?

Having a dedicated skincare routine can make a world of a difference to your skin. I have been experimenting with various products since quite some time now. I"ll be honest, I try to stick to products that are natural and give me results. Since my skin is very sensitive, I stay away from the ones that have crazy chemicals in them. It has not solved any of my skin dilemmas and in fact, made it worse if not better.

Over the years, I have learnt so much about skincare and the importance of following a diligent routine. From exfoliating scrubs to masks to toners, I have tried every product that promises to give you soft, baby-like skin. In this post, I have listed some of the top drugstore skin products that I use to take off my makeup.

1) Neutrogena Naturals Makeup Removing Wipes: This is the first step in removing my makeup. I start by using this to get rid of most of my makeup. It's amazing how the Neutrogena Natural wipe helps me get rid of layers of makeup including mascara and lipstick! Out of all the drugstore brands, Neutrogena has to be one of my favorite drugstore brand as it is the most that I reach out to.

2) Biore Blemish Fighting Ice Cleanser: Step 2 is using a great cleanser. After you have got rid of the first layer of your makeup, it is important to make sure that most of it has left your skin. A good cleanser is of utmost importance as it helps remove any leftover grime. I just use one pump and work it in circular motions all over my face till it forms a lather. After I massage it for about 2 minutes, I rinse my face with warm water.

3) Eau Roma Water: The Eau Roma toner by Lush Cosmetics is by far, one of the best toners that I have used. I spritz this over a cotton pad and go over my entire face to make sure there is no foundation/makeup residue. The natural oil along with rose and lavender extracts are great to calm the skin and you just end up feeling rejuvenated instantly.

4) LA Roche Posay Rosaliac AR Intense: Now, I've mentioned how problematic and sensitive my skin is. I have not had clear skin in a very long time now and using an anti-redness serum is a step that I just cannot skip. The La Roche Posay products are highly recommended by top French Dermatologists and I have been using this specific one to eliminate the redness. I haven't seen a major difference (probably because my skin also reacts if I have too many milk products, pssst) but all I do is apply this right before my moisturizer.

5) Neutrogena Oil Free Moisturiser/Truself Organics Ocean Minerals moisturizer: Oil-free moisturizers are great for acne-prone skin as they aid in reducing the redness without being too greasy. The Neutrogena moisturizers are the ones that I reach out for the most after natural brands like Cetaphil, Eucerin etc; This stuff is so light and non-greasy that sometimes I just forget that I have a moisturizer on! Usually at night I will apply the Truself Organics Ocean Mineral Moisturizer after I exfoliate my skin. The consistency of this is a little thick so a pea sized amount is usually enough.

6) H2O+ Brightening Eye Cream: After hearing so much about adding an eye-cream to your routine, I decided to give this one a go. The 20s is the right age to start including an eye cream to your night routine because this will produce less wrinkles and fine lines when you are old. The H20+ Brightening eye cream may not be a drugstore version but this works brilliantly. A little bit goes a long way in this case as the consistency is quite thick. I just apply this under my eyes at night so my eyes looks less puffy the next day.

What are some of your drugstore skin care favorites? I'd love to know them!

From the past couple of weeks, I have been on the hunt for a refreshing face mask for myself. If you know me well, you would know how much I love LUSH and all their products. The store smells so frickin good! Also, the variety of products that they have is insane. From luxury bath bombs to masks to soaps, they've got it all!

When I entered the store, one of their sales girls walked up to me and we got talking about all things skincare. I had already done some research myself and heard good things about their Catastrophe mask. People raving about this mask described how invigorating their skin felt and how it helped in calming the redness on their face from acne.

Believe it or not, I have slathered every product possible on my face to help calm my angry skin. With Lush, I know that their stuff smells amazing and I am going to see results. Even if I don't, at least I'm putting organic, fresh ingredients on my face and not a whole lot of crazy chemicals. I was really excited to try this out. This particular mask has some great ingredients like fresh almond oil, blueberries, chamomile blue oil and sweet wild orange oil to name a few. It claims to reduce redness without stripping the skin of its natural oils. For dry, acne-prone skin like mine, I needed an exfoliating mask like this. What I do is, I apply a thin layer of this mask and let it sit for about 10 minutes (as instructed in the box) and rinse it with warm water while it is still not completely dry.

I have only tried this once but I am already in love with this. Not only did my skin feel rejuvenated, it also had an instant glow! Definitely recommend this to anyone who has acne-prone skin that is dry. I still have to use it regularly to see results but I am quite impressed with it in the first use itself. Also, extra points for the fragrance - smells fantastic.

Hope you enjoyed this review and let me know what kind of posts you would like to see!
